INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES
When the industrial design problem is primarily structural in nature, a structural engineer will lead the industrial groups with supprt from mechanical and electrical in-house forces. This was the case in the design of industrial modules to house pumps and meter equipment for an oil patch project on the North Slope. Our structural group supports industrial projects which have included special three dimensional analysis of pipe stress for piping projects managed by the Fuels Group. INSTITUTIONAL AND COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS - PDC's structural group has extensive experience as a solid member of the building design team. Our experience extends to leading such teams for design of industrial buildings, however, for most of our work with building design, we are cast in the role of sub-consultant to the project architect. While serving in this role, we helped our clients to win awards for design excellence, as well as commendations from the owner for excellent project budget control.

Design Alaska -The Mechanical Engineering Department at Design Alaska has considerable design experience for new construction and renovation of commercial, institutional, military, recreational, light industrial, and residential facilities. This experience extends to all phases of mechanical systems design including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, piping, fire protection, and controls. At Design Alaska, the Mechanical Engineering Department also is responsible for all exterior water, sewer, and steam and condensate utilities work as well as underground fuel tanks and associated piping.

PDC - has been engineering mechanical systems serving facilities of nearly every description for more than 20 years. Although many of the facilities designed by the firm are located at remote sites, including the Arctic and Antarctic locations, we also have project experience in temperate, as well as tropical environments.
